Steptoe Valley Inn is an oasis in America's Great Basin outback, enhanced with spruce and fruit trees that provide shade to an old fashioned rose garden with gazebo, birds, swing, and croquet court. Originally built in 1907 as the Ely City Grocery, Steptoe Valley Inn was completely reconstructed in 1990. Great care was taken to include details from elegant Victorian cottages. Evident throughout the Inn is extensive use of hand painted accents, decorative wood trim, tile mosaics, marble thresholds, tasteful lighting and plumbing fixtures, elegant brass hardware, high embossed ceilings, and etch and stained glass. Guests will enjoy relaxing in the library or the TV reading room, living room or large upstairs veranda.
